    I was inspired to write this song because of after my shows I would ask kids "What do you want to be when you grow up?" I noticed the parents craning their necks to listen to their child's answer.

    So I decided I would write a song and put as many of those ideas as I could into the song.

    It's become something of a signature song for me. Hardly a week goes by that I don't hear from a school or group who says they ran across the song and decided it was perfect for their group.
